Berlin, October 2024

 Flew from London to Berlin, that was fucking exhausting and fuck the Frankfurt airport. 2+ hours through their 1-person fucking customs? Are you fucking kidding me?

My hotel was a fucking blast, Orania in Kreuzberg which is basically the punk area in Berlin. This hotel is stylish, cool, has live music in their lobby. LOVED THEM.

So I knew this area already, and that I wanted to find a particular bar from my last trip.  What I didn't realize is that my favorite bar was half a block away, Cafe Luzia.  Dude!  I was on 3 hours of sleep at most since my flight from London was so EARLY, and me limping to this bar was perfect.

Met with the main reason I am here, my niece Ani who is studying for a semester abroad. (her roommate Emma and friends are awesome). First night in a Vietnamese fusion restaurant.

Walked around Kreuzberg, got breakfast and followed a path of boutiques that were on my list. Best area - walk to Terra (restaurant) and then Reparatur (boutique) Grimmstrasse 20.  Awesome area of restaurants and boutiques.

Went to MarktHalle for dinner - one of my favorite places we went.  Tons of food and drink.

Last day, I went shopping and had a great time in Mitte.  The Store X to Comme des Garcon to  Adddress Showroom to Weekday. Got a leather dress at Adddress Showroom.

Ate at a fabulous Turkish restaurant, Agora, with Ani and her friends on my last night. AFTER getting drinks at Luzia.
