Prague Part 1

Image
We took the train to Prague, which I knew going into it was going to be a pain in the ass.  We had luggage, there was promises of places to store them, and it wasn't true (only above, not at the end of the car).  There were no numbers posted on the cars.  Everything was terrifying and quick to get in.  People were rude.  But we got on!  And the ride itself, and train, was pleasant. Of course, terrifying to be in Prague, super ethnic, but was able to find the weird parking lot to get the Uber.  (no credit card for a taxi) We immediately broke into the hotel room wine, $12 and good. We were starving, and went into the main square thingy and got Czech food.  It was fucking amazing.  THEIR HORSERADISH IS THE BEST.   Their sausage platter was insane. Then we did a lot of walking.  Through the most stunning architecture in the world. Charles Bridge. We got a daily pass at their subway/metro - it is fabulous.  What a great ...

Berlin Part 3

We saved the best for last, Kreuzberg. Shopping, and vietnamese for lunch. I got the green mango with roasted duck salad, my gawd. And a lychee soda, magnificent. Stopped in at Core Tex Records. Time for some drinks at Luzia bar, which was a magnificently beautiful place. And then we went to a punk bar, Trinkteufel, because I am a poseur. These are two of my favorite purchases. I spent way too much on this skirt the The Voo store. And a fucking baby blue bomber jacket, the lighting doesn't do it justice.

Berlin Part 2

I had the worst jet lag, woke up at 2am and my sister was deep in sleep. She slept until about 7:30 and I was wide awake, feeling insane. BUT, I managed to figure out where to eat for the day. First of all, our hotel was on Friedrichstrasse, which ruled. Right next to a huge train station, connected to everything. For breakfast we walked to Mitte, which is a totally cool neighborhood, and ate a Japanese breakfast at House of Small Wonder. We ordered mimosas, because why not. We took the U-Bahn (underground) to shop, and then again to eat a late lunch at Neni, which is a fabulous rooftop restaurant next to the Berlin Zoo. We got drinks near the river, and late night doner at a stall near our hotel. SO GOOD.
